Loving Mi-Me!

This is how my love affair with Mi Me products began.  In the mail came a huge box of products with this adorable little label stuck to it.  I discovered Mi Me through Twitter, a natural skin care line with ingredients you can pronounce.  I went on their site and read through their products, and asked if they would be so kind as to send some for me to try and share with all of you.  Both Pure and I have been using these products for some time now, and I am so excited to share the products, and a little bit about Gil and Liz the creators of Mi Me with all of you as well as offer you all a 10% discount on the line.

Go To Goldie's

Last night my girlfriend Nikki and I were going to grab a bite at the Izakaya sushi bar on 3rd Street in Los Angeles.  As usual it was packed and we didn't feel like waiting.  We started walking back to the car and walked right passed Goldie's.  We could not have been happier that Izakaya had a wait.  Goldie's opened 12 weeks ago, and it's incredible.

Style Obsession - Zoe Saldana

Photographed By Yu Tsai Flaunt Magazine

I have always had a style crush on Zoe Saldana.  Her stylist Petra Flannery was named number 3 on the Hollywood Reporters most influential stylists in Hollywood.  Zoe just seems to know how to put it all together, what works for her body, and seems to effortlessly combine, elegance, sexiness, and a bohemian chic that I love.  Some of my favorite moments.......

Ms. Hill is Back

Photo Via Pretty Much Amazing

So what do you all think of this new track from Lauryn Hill?  I feel like there was such a void left in music when she exited the scene after her one amazing album which I had on repeat forever, the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.  She is definitely one of the great lyricists of our time.  Not sure how I'm feeling about this song yet, but I always appreciate that Lauryn speaks her mind, and isn't afraid to stand for what she believes in.

My Latest Obsession

Photo Via Sur La Table

This latest obsession is inspired by my best friend Addie.  I was over her house the other day and noticed her hanging fruit basket.  I always want to keep my fruit out, but we have extremely limited counter space.  We can't sacrifice good counter for fruits and veggies.  So when I was over her house and saw this hanging fruit basket above from Sur La Table I had to have one.  We just hung it up yesterday, and I'm so excited.  When I put fruits and veggies in the refrigerator they sometimes get lost in the mix, and they end up going bad before I have a chance to use them.  Having them out on display allows me to see all that I have, and make use of it before it turns.  I have to say I'm a little bit in love this new purchase.

If You Can Make It There

Pure and I took a week and went to NYC.  Last time we had gone the weather wasn't all that so we decided to take a trip in the spring.  My family is there, and it's always a good time.  This is our week in pictures.  The food in NYC is always a part of the trip.  We had some incredible meals while we were there.  We finally tried the frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity which they are famous for.  All the times I've been in NY I had never tried it.  We tried a new restaurant called Catch in the meatpacking district which we both loved.  The lobster macaroni & cheese was incredible.  We went to our favorite spot in the ABC furniture store called ABC Kitchen.  Everything there is locally sourced and organically cultivated.  They have a rooftop garden where they grow herbs and micro-greens.  If you are wanting to go here make sure you make a reservation well in advance.  Reservations usually take over a month to get for a time that you'll actually want to eat.  My cousin took us to the rooftop of the Pod Hotel which just opened in midtown that was magical.  The food was phenomenal and so was the rest of our trip.........

Pottery Obsession

I'm a little bit obsessed with pottery/china.  I buy vintage jewelry dishes that I have throughout my house, little decorative bowls that I fill with lipsticks, hair ties, etc, unique little tea cups that I love to have my morning tea in.  I love sweet little china pieces.  One of my favorite little places to find bowls is at Anthropologie, and one of the reasons why is Samantha Robinson.
