Pottery Obsession

I'm a little bit obsessed with pottery/china.  I buy vintage jewelry dishes that I have throughout my house, little decorative bowls that I fill with lipsticks, hair ties, etc, unique little tea cups that I love to have my morning tea in.  I love sweet little china pieces.  One of my favorite little places to find bowls is at Anthropologie, and one of the reasons why is Samantha Robinson.

All I can say is who better to nail the Met Gala's Punk, Chaos to Couture theme then Madonna.  Loving this look from head to toe.  Especially her little pink bound feet.  Fierce as ever in Givenchy Haute Couture.  There were definitely some other honorable mentions below.......

Bacterial Beauty

Maia Bergman is 23 and a graduate from Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in the UK, and she is well on her way to be a young designer to watch.  She was one of the finalists this year from the H&M Design Award 2013, and I am in love with her collection.  

All I Can Say Is Yum

Not sure what to call this salad but delicious.  I got inspired by a recipe from the Bitten Word, and tweaked it a little.  It was such a hit I made it two days later, and now it's pretty much a staple in our house.  You can use pretty much any vegetables you like to roast.

The Artist In Us All

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at LACMA with our Goddaughter Kamari.  Kamari is an artist at heart, she loves to draw, paint, sing, and write music, and she just turned 10.  She is truly amazing.  We found a kids center at the museum where you can go in and paint with your kids.  Lucky we had her with us because I think we had more fun then she did.
