Happy Halloween

Images Via www.designincstudios.com

Well since we all know what day it is I thought it would be appropriate to do a little halloween post.  I came across these pumpkin carving pictures by Ray Villafane.  I have noooooooo idea how you get a pumpkin to do this but it is unbelievable.  I am not only in awe that someone can carve this, but it is incredible that they can do it before the pumpkin actually rots.

Behind The Scenes

So today I shot with the beautiful Estella Warren.  We started the morning in hair and makeup with myself and the Amazing Elizabeth Ulloa.  You can check out her blog at http://sunglowbeauty.blogspot.com/.  She is not only a brilliantly creative makeup artist but a great friend and so much fun to work with.  My wonderful friend Hellin Kay shot and styled the shoot.  You can check out her blog here http://champagneandheels.com/.   It is very unusual for someone to not only be a great photographer but a fabulous stylist at the same time.  She is definitely a one woman show, and incredible at all she does.  Anyway we had a great day and shot some beautiful pieces. Stay tuned for some pics, but in the meantime here are some behind the scenes shots.

Marion Bolognesi

I came across these beautiful watercolors by Marion Bolognesi this morning.  She is an artist based out of Brooklyn New york who splits her time between her passion for painting and being an accessories designer.  I love these faces and how intensely she is able to caption the emotion within each image.

Audrey Kawasaki

We were first introduced to this artist by our friend Wes.  Ever since, we have loved and followed her work.  Her paintings have a sense of vulnerability coupled with a slightly erotic feel to them.  She often paints on wood adding to the earthiness of her subject.  Her work is sensual and capitivating.  The paintings often remind of a Geisha acessible yet untouchable and ultra feminine.

Jason Wu Spring 2012

So loving this use of feathers in the hair at Jason Wu's Spring 2012 show.  The random black feathers and pins with the bright pop of color in the lip is fabulous. Happy to see the feather trend being used in such a unique way.

Our First Post

We have been talking about starting a blog for a very long time....actually years. At some point you just have to do it. So here it goes....this will be a place to find art, science, spirituality, and inspiration. We hope you find interest in the things that we love and inspire us as artists. We hope to hear from you as well.
