BEST Macaroni and Cheese....Thanksgiving

Ok....so I debated a little bit about this post.  I make an amazing baked macaroni and cheese.  I never have given out my recipe for it, but I decided now that I have the blog it is time to share it.  I will definitely be making it for Thanksgiving, and I didn't want to wait until after Thanksgiving to post it so I snagged a picture from Bell Alimento which looked very similar to how this recipe turns out.  I promise if you make this mac and cheese for Thanksgiving it is sure to be a hit.  Let me know how it goes if you make it.

1/2 tsp dry mustard
2 Tbsp flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
pinch of cayenne pepper
1/4 cup chopped scallions
1 1/2 cups of milk
1 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of sour cream (what makes all the difference)
2-3 cups of macaroni
1/4 bread crumbs

Heat oven to 350.  In a bowl combine flour, salt, mustard, pepper, and cayenne.  Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.  Add scallions and saute for 2 mins.  Add flour mixture and cook 3 mins.  Gradually whisk in milk.  Cook 15 mins stirring constantly until it thickens.  Remove from heat and stir in cheese (1 1/2 cups), and sour cream.  Add macaroni.  Pour into a greased dish and top with remaining cheese and bread crumbs.  Bake 25 - 30 mins.
